Michigan’s Chic University of Cosmetology, located in the Grand Rapids, Portage and Standale areas, has united with several other beauty schools that were formerly part of the school division of the Regis Corporation to convert to the Empire Beauty School brand name and curriculum.

The schools will modify their programs to incorporate Empire’s choice curriculum, Certified Learning in Cosmetology (CLiC). Empire’s innovative and interactive educational aids, NxtBook and TeamBoard teaching technology systems, will also be implemented by the former Chic University schools. The utilization of the digitally interactive aids by the newly converted Empire schools will allow students to benefit from a more visually stimulating and technologically advanced learning experience.

The Empire Beauty Schools of Michigan are accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences, Inc. (NACCAS). They are also authorized by the U.S. Department of Education for participation in the Title IV Financial Aid programs and licensed in the state of Michigan.

The former Chic schools, along with multiple other former Regis schools across the country, were acquired by Empire Education Group after its merger with the school division of the Regis Corporation in 2007.
