Over the past years, WCU has steadily grown and developed in to a reputable health care education with good name and end product to attract top caliber faculty, staff and students. In 1997, the University was reorganized under the leadership of their Chairman, David Pyle, and in 2004 educating health care professionals became our singular focus. With three Southern California campuses, they offer undergraduate degrees in nursing and dental hygiene, and graduate degrees in nursing and health care management. West Coast University has come a long way from that first single classroom in Los Angeles in 1909.

At WCU, there are no secondary applications, waitlists or lotteries to get in to the sphere of education. All general education courses are built in to each discipline. Courses are scheduled for the duration of the program, so classes are available when needed, and students are able to complete their education in a shorter time frame and on schedule. Students get a graduation date upon enrolling.
West Coast University expect quality students from across the country who need a high caliber education and a career in health care. During the 2009 and 2010 academic years, 52% of all applicants were accepted into WCU’s competitive nursing program.
