Westchester Beauty School

Westchester School of Beauty Culture has a reputation thats second to none when it comes to training students to work in the real world. The school was established in 1960 in Lower Westchester by Michael P. Salamone to train students in the art and craft of Hairdressing, Esthetics and nail technology. Since then, the school has trained more than 3,000 people as cosmetologists. While some students are working in some of the leading salons in Westchester, New York, Florida, California and throughout the world, others have created their own vision by opening their own salon (or salons as the case may be).

Others have gone in a totally different direction and used the skills they learned at Westchester Beauty School to find success as platform artists, nail technicians, product representatives, consultants, teachers, makeup artists and trainers. Many of their graduates call them when they need staff because theyre already familiar with the completeness and quality of their courses.

Westchester Beauty School is located two blocks from Metro Norths Mount Vernon East train station, and the Bee Line bus routes 7, 40, 41, 42, 52 and 55, stop nearby. Ample parking is available for those who drive.

The school occupies 7,500-square-feet of space in a modern facility that includes: four theory/lab rooms, a senior area, administrative offices, reception areas, a student lounge and storage areas. They can accommodate the handicapped.
