City College is a not for profit private college currently operating 3 campuses in Florida. City College is a private coeducational four-year college located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. City College was first established in 1984 as a branch of Draughons Junior College. City College offers ten Associate of Science degrees in seven major programs, and Bachelor of Science degrees in their Business Administration program. City college does not offer organized student activities and has no sports teams, feeling that their students are attending the school “to learn job skills and many are involved with their own families and organizations”. City College is the newest residential college on the Otago campus, we accept students from the two Dunedin tertiary institutions (The University of Otago and Otago Polytechnic) in representative numbers and we are the only fully catered Otago College where residents live in apartment groups.
City College has a policy of providing an interesting and varied menu encompassing styles from all over the world. City College has a policy of ZERO TOLERANCE of breaches of the alcohol rules. City College is very new and is developing new traditions. City College is modern, co-ed’ and co-institutional and we are developing a culture which reflects those things. City College contracts are for 38 weeks (University Students) or 41 Weeks (Otago Polytechnic Students) or the length of your course which ever is greater, if you leave you are liable for the fees for the rest of the year. City College at Wilshire provides another convenient location for the community to access college transfer and professional development courses as well as ESL and more.
City College is the third oldest public high school in the nation. City College’s football rivalry with Polytechnic is considered the oldest in the country dating back to 1904. City College still allows smoking almost anywhere and campus, the only exceptions are inside of buildings and within 20 feet of a building entrance or open windows. City College is a public school, and not allowing students to partake in a legal activity on campus is simply not right. In response to the demand of Florida’s rapidly growing population, City College is focused on, and committed to, providing the best in business and career education. Originally located on Cypress Creek Road, the main campus of City College was moved to its current location in 2005, after the school purchased the Atrium 2000 office building in 2004 for $11. In 1997, the school renamed itself and became an affiliate of City College.
As an affiliate, the school has a separate director and board of directors from the other City College campuses,[12] but otherwise has a similar structure and course offerings,[2][13] the same mission,[14][15] and similar education guidelines. The facilities at City College are very modern; the computer lab is networked to Otago University making the university network available to all City College students. The Name City College was chosen to reflect the involvement of the Dunedin City Council, and the three institutions involved. Over the past century, Fresno Junior College, opened its doors with 20 students and three instructors and has become Fresno City College, a city within itself, boasting an enrollment of over 25,000 students and over 1500 full and part-time faculty.
At Baltimore City College students are able to take many different classes, and classes of varying difficulty. Incoming freshmen will be the first IB middle year class at City College. At Baltimore City College students do not only strive to be the best academically, but also challenge themselves with extra-curricular activities. City College admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the institution. Textbooks will be available for purchase at City College at Wilshire, at times to be announced, during the first 2 weeks of the semester.
