The largest career and technical education district in the United States, Great Oaks has been providing quality education and career development services to many since 1970. Located in Southwest Ohio, Great Oaks is a technical high school providing technical education to students from thirty six school districts. The school has four campuses located at Live Oaks in Milford, Scarlet Oaks in Sharonville, Laurel Oaks in Wilmington and Diamond Oaks on the west side of Cincinnati.

At Great Oaks one can chose from forty two different programs in subjects like automotive & power technology, agricultural/industrial diesel mechanics, automotive technology, aviation maintenance technician, aviation maintenance, business technology & marketing, business management & administrative services, e-marketing, sales & marketing, communications technology, digital TV production, construction & maintenance, commercial/residential electricity, construction framing & finishing technologies, heating, ventilating & air conditioning, heavy equipment operations & engineering, industrial facilities technician, masonry, plumbing, consumer & community services, chef training, cosmetology, culinary arts & hospitality services, early childhood education, firefighting/emergency medical service, hotel operations, law enforcement, restaurant operations, teaching professions, animal Science & management, equine science & management, horticulture operations, natural resources technology, veterinary assisting, biotechnology, dental assisting, health technology, secondary practical nursing, sports rehabilitation therapy, industry & engineering, computer assisted drafting, engineering technologies and robotics pre-engineering technology, welding, information technology, computer service technician & networking interactive media.

To apply at a great oaks center the prospective student must fill an application form giving two choices of programs and then wait for a reply. Technical instructors will also contact you before starting any program. During your junior and senior years you will be earning two credits each for math, English, science and social studies. Since it is a public school you will not be required to pay any tuition fee.

The greatest advantage about Great Oaks is that they offer technical career oriented training programs along with the high school studies so that one need not waste extra money in learning them after high school. There are also programs called Individualized Education Program (IEP) for students with special needs which gives the students an opportunity to chose from different career options during their ninth and tenth grade. Students with disability also receive greater attention at Great Oaks. Great Oaks has also entered into agreement with local universities which allow students to gain college credits. Students at Great Oaks also take industry certification exams. In this way a student will receive not only his/her high school diploma but also a career technical certificate from Great Oaks.
