Coachella Valley Beauty College

Located at Dune Palms Road in La Quinta, California, Coachella valley Beauty College is a newly established private institution running for profit, offering certification programs in cosmetology, esthetics, manicure/pedicure and teacher training. The main mission of the college is to prepare our students to become successful members of the cosmetology profession and successfully pass the State Board Examination. For achieving this objective the teachers at the college not only teach the techniques and artistry of cosmetology; we also teach poise, charm, self-reliance, business practices, and personal hygiene. At the college each student is given individual attention. The mode of instruction is both at personal and group level. The teachers at Coachella Valley Beauty College are always struggling to keep abreast of current trends, designs and techniques required by employers so as to make each student a highly talented professional in their respective field.

In order to become a licensed professional in the field of cosmetology, nail technology and esthetics one must first obtain a formal training in the respective field. But before that one must first get a high school diploma. Then one must proceed for the training program. The college offers less than one year certificate and one but less than two years certificate programs in the field of cosmetology, esthetics, manicuring/pedicuring and teacher training program. Additional programs are not offered by the college.

The cosmetology and hairstyling program at the college teaches the basic and the latest in the contemporary techniques in the field of hair cutting, hair coloring and hair designing for men, women and children. The program also teaches about the concept of hair texture and how to create unique hairstyles for the clients. Nail manicuring, pedicuring and esthetic skin care procedures are also taught. The teacher training program at the college focuses on teaching methodology and educational techniques needed to develop lesson plans, understand classroom management and procedures, and develop the expertise needed to measure and evaluate student skills and competencies. After completion of your course you may work in the fields of esthetics, hair cutting, hair coloring and design, spa services, manicuring and pedicuring and also as a cosmetology teacher.

Coachella Valley Beauty College has an open admission policy. The institution does not accept dual, credit for life, or AP credits. Eligible students will receive Pell Grants and other federal aid (e.g. Direct Loans). Other services for students include career counseling service, employment service and placement services for those who have completed any course at the college. New classes start every Tuesday. Prospective students may visit the campus for a tour and then get detailed information regarding the course of their choice.
